Hello,
welcome to briellewrites
My name is Brielle Entzminger, and I am a forward-thinking creator with 5+ years of experience working in communications and journalism, as well as social and digital media.

After graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Media Studies and American Studies and a minor in French in 2019, I served as the lead news reporter for C-VILLE Weekly, Charlottesville's award-winning weekly alternative newspaper. For nearly four years, I pitched news and feature stories, built relationships with sources, and wrote about critical issues—including politics, government, activism, crime, education, housing, and the COVID-19 pandemic—in the Charlottesville area and across Virginia for C-VILLE's weekly newspapers and special issues reaching 30,000+ readers.
I am now a Communications Strategist for UVA's Miller Center of Public Affairs, where I spearhead innovative social media strategies and produce creative content, particularly attention-grabbing clips of the Center's events. Additionally, I pitch and write articles for the Center's Illumination magazine, as well as create a weekly newsletter publicizing the Center's events. I am responsible for producing a variety of additional internal and external communications—including book promotional pages, event programs, and speaker bios—for the Center's website and print materials, ultimately promoting its scholars, endeavors, and accomplishments.

On here you will find my favorite stories I wrote for C-VILLE. I have also included two personal writings I published on my Patreon, an article and podcast I created as a demo project for UVA's Weldon Cooper Center Media Team, and the stories I wrote for Charlottesville Tomorrow, where I served as a news intern and an Emma Bowen Foundation fellow.
